An AI score is a useful signal, but it isn’t a verdict. Detectors can flag human writing or miss AI-generated text. The original work, earlier drafts, and a conversation with the writer all add context.
Yes. Guests can run two text scans a day. A free account includes five daily text scans, with up to 2,000 characters per scan.
The web text detector accepts .txt and .md documents. For image detection, use JPEG, PNG or WebP files up to 3 MB. Image detection requires Pro.
No. Detection is an estimate and can be wrong in either direction. Review the original work and other evidence before drawing a conclusion.
New results from signed-in users are saved to their AIScan account. Guest results stay in that browser. You can revisit or delete saved results from History. The iPhone connection code links Pro access; it does not upload your phone’s scan history.
