Privacy and Your Data
AIScan, by Myriad Studios, uses account details to sign you in and connect your access. Firebase provides authentication. Stripe handles web checkout and payment details.
Browser Verification
Website scans use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare processes browser and network information for verification. AIScan sends the verification token and your IP address to Cloudflare; submitted scan text and images are not included in that verification request. Read the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Content You Submit
Content is sent to the services needed for the selected tool. Text detection and the paid text API use AIScan’s backend and external text-analysis providers, including Suedo for source estimates. Humanizer uses OpenAI, and image analysis uses Sightengine. Cloudflare and Vercel host and protect our services. These providers receive the content needed to perform the selected request; do not submit content you are not authorized to share with processing services.
Saved Web Results
When signed in, completed tool results are saved to your account. The latest 50 results, within a total 4 MB limit, include the original text, output and time. Image history stores the filename and report, not the uploaded image. Search, export and delete results in Scan History. The oldest results are removed as new results exceed either limit.
Without a web account, history stays in this browser. Existing unassigned browser history is not automatically imported into an account. On compatible iPhone app versions, connecting the same AIScan account shares recent results with the web. Older app versions may not support shared history. Existing device scans are imported only when you choose to import them; original image files stay on the device. Deleting a saved account result removes it from shared history. Offline devices update when they reconnect. This does not delete separate processing records held by the detection backend or its providers.
Public Scan Links
Scans are not published automatically. Choosing Create public link stores a separate snapshot of the full scanned text, detection result and any included source estimate. Anyone with the link can view or forward it. Links expire after 30 days and are marked to discourage search indexing. Expired content is removed by scheduled cleanup.
Sharing controls are stored on the browser that created the link, including for guest scans. Use Shared links on that browser to stop sharing and remove the public copy. Clearing browser data removes these controls. Shared snapshots are independent of account history, so deleting history or your account does not disable them; stop sharing first or let them expire. AIScan cannot remove copies already saved by viewers.
API Usage Records
The developer dashboard stores request metadata such as key identifier, word count, cost, status and time. Submitted text is not included in that usage table. A separate, temporary response cache stores API results so a retry with the same idempotency key can receive the saved response without another charge. Results can contain text from your submission. Cached responses expire after 24 hours; scheduled cleanup runs every five minutes to remove expired content. Cleanup can be delayed during a service outage. Request metadata and payment records are separate from this response cache.
Deleting Your Account
You can request account deletion in Settings after confirming your identity. The request blocks account access and API keys while AIScan cancels web subscription renewals, removes saved account history and cached API responses, and deletes the Firebase sign-in account. If a required service is unavailable, the request remains pending and is retried. Compatible iPhone app versions also provide account deletion.
Payment and subscription records needed for reconciliation, refunds and disputes are retained separately, along with an account deletion marker that prevents old sessions from restoring the account. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage that subscription with Apple. Device-only scans and offline copies are not remotely erased immediately. Shared account caches are removed when supported apps receive confirmation that the account was deleted.
Separate Processing Copies
Our detection backend may store submitted text separately from account history for processing diagnostics. Automated cleanup removes these copies after 30 days. Cleanup runs in batches and retries after service outages, so removal may be delayed while recovery completes. Deleting account history does not immediately remove these separate copies. This 30-day rule applies to our backend copies, not to records independently retained by processing providers under their policies.
Linked Subscriptions
If you connect your iPhone app, AIScan processes device-link identifiers, Apple purchase records and Qonversion customer and entitlement identifiers to verify access, renewals, refunds and cancellations. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe or Apple; AIScan does not store your full card number. Billing records and deletion markers are retained for accounting, refund and dispute handling, fraud prevention and applicable legal obligations, separately from scan content.
Service Providers and Your Choices
Providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their policies also govern their handling of data: Cloudflare, Vercel, Firebase, Stripe and OpenAI. AIScan uses browser storage and cookies for sign-in, preferences, local history, sharing controls and abuse prevention. Clearing browser storage may sign you out and remove local history or sharing controls.
Use Scan History to export or delete saved results and Settings to delete your account. For access, correction or deletion requests, information about a processing provider, or privacy questions, contact support@aiscan.app. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting account information. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date.
